"Out of Shadows" #CIA Documentary with Perspective

I am going to post a link to this movie at the end of my post, but first I would like to make a few observations. Without question, CIA should be destroyed. They went off the range pretty much from the beginning.

However, I am old enough to remember when television was fun, and actually educational. I learned the Preamble to the Constitution thanks to "Schoolhouse Rock" on ABC. I see nothing wrong with Elmer Fudd chasing Bugs Bunny, nor with Wiley Coyote chasing the Road Runner. And I see nothing wrong with airing patriotic films in a time of war. Do we really need to feed the "Baby Killer" mantra? That crowd seems to come up with that bullshit all on their own. I think encouraging the public in a time of hardship is helpful.

I also remember a time when no one on television was divorced, sex was not even alluded to, respectful children were the rule rather than the exception, homosexuality was never even considered, abortion was not mentioned, and (as is the case with "South Park") the epithet beginning with the letter "f" was not bleeped in favor of PERMITTING the epithet "G-- d--- i--" at least twenty times per episode (and being used by fictional FOURTH GRADERS, for crying out loud!)

But again, it has gone too far. The Coronavirus is a classic example. We cannot go more than ten minutes without at least two commercials telling us how wonderful it is to be in prison and how great it is that companies want to help "keep you safe". BULLSHIT! PURE PROPAGANDA!

We all know violent music that debases women and glorifies racism, hatred, murder, and drugs has destroyed the younger generation. Add to that movies where blood is splattered all over the screen for two-to-three-hours, and addictive video games that teach people to kill others in order to "score", and it is little wonder the country has turned into what it is now.

One of the most shocking parts of this film is something Mika Brzezinski says on the MSNBC clip about halfway into the video. It is shocking because I do not watch that network so this is the first time I have heard it. It is NOT shocking if you recall who her father was.

So, here is "Out of Shadows". Let us try not to throw out the baby with the bathwater. While probably 75% of television these days is negative propaganda, not all propaganda is necessarily negative. It can be positive, as in the case of short films people saw during World War II. I hope everyone will watch this movie carefully, and with a critical eye both to CIA and the rare-but-still-in-existence GOOD that SOME entertainment provides.

7-Eleven Lies to its Customers and Adds to #Coronavirus Panic

Apparently, we do not get enough mind-fucking from the endless "briefings", interviews with "experts" now claiming we must be locked down for a year-and-a-half, public service announcements by Oprah and other rich bitches smiling and telling us how wonderful it is to be home alone (cute coming from people who can spend their days in a different room every day for MONTHS!)...we have to have owners of 7-Eleven franchises treating us like lepers, increasing the "rules" every single damned day...AND BLAMING IT ALL ON THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT!

They started out by closing their slot machines. Then they demanded that we place our money on the counter instead of handing it directly to the cashier (does the counter have some magical ability to remove viruses from money?). Then they started demanding we stand on blue tape spread throughout the store to maintain "social distancing", and limited the number of people in the store to ten. When people began complaining, they replied that they were just following the orders of the health department. 

Today I went over there to try and find something I was unable to get at Albertson's, and there were two signs posted that said, "NO ONE ENTERS WITHOUT THEIR FACES COVERED! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!" I blew a gasket, and as it turned out I ran into a Metro cop and we began talking about my various complaints about this entire fiasco, including the mess at 7-Eleven. He said, "Well, just to let you know, these directives are not coming from the health department, the city, the county, the state, the Governor, the President, the CDC, nor anyone else. Suggestions have been made, but none of it is being enforced as a matter of law. What is happening at 7-Eleven is being done by the FRANCHISE OWNER."

So, not only have they treated us like lepers; they FLAT-OUT LIED TO THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! So, for ANYONE who goes to the 7-Eleven located at 1740 E. Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada: THEY ARE LIARS! EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE IN THAT STORE HAS BEEN LYING TO EVERY SINGLE CUSTOMER WHO HAS WALKED IN THERE!!!

I strongly urge everyone to BOYCOTT this store, and DRIVE THE LIARS OUT OF BUSINESS! In a time of turmoil and insanity, it is IRRESPONSIBLE AT BEST to keep piling it on day, after day, after day, FOR NO DAMNED REASON OTHER THAN THEIR OWN PERSONAL PARANOIA! If they are that damned scared, CLOSE THE DAMNED STORE AND STAY HOME!

Let us help them do that, shall we? There are PLENTY of other convenience stores within mere blocks of this LYING FRANCHISE. We should give THEM our business, and shut this store DOWN!

My Best Friend in Life, Darcus Ann Greco: A Tragic Ending for a Beautiful Woman

Last Friday evening, I discovered the worst news a friend could possibly learn. My best friend died in a house fire last October 12th in Bakersfield, California. Before I give the details, I would like to explain who she was.

I met Darcus through a mutual friend back when I was twenty-two years old. Our mutual friend put us in touch, because I was struggling to support myself with a minimum wage job (back when minimum wage was FAR lower than it is today). Darcus graciously took me in, sight unseen. We hit it off immediately, and soon we were palling around like we had been best friends in high school. Soon after I moved in, I found a good job and was able to move into my own apartment in a few months. 

We were friends through my marriage, my subsequent divorce; we were friends through all of the young adult traumas I encountered (she was seven years older than I was), she was by my side through two surgeries, I was by her side through several of her hospitalizations. We acted silly together; we went grocery shopping in the middle of the night together so we could take our time and goof off. We played, laughed, and cried together. She was there through my ex-husband's heart attack; she was by my side through my grandmother's death. She delivered several of our friend's children. She was active in her church, and extremely dedicated to her faith.

But mostly she was a devoted wife and mother who home-schooled her children and raised them to be responsible, caring adults. 

Until her husband betrayed her in the most horrific, unimaginable way. I am not at liberty to describe the details, but that night was the beginning of the end of my best friend. For the next twenty years she did everything possible to deal with her pain, engaging in behaviors you would think no one her age would get involved in; such was the depth of her pain.

It all ended last October 12th in a house fire where she died all alone. According to the coroner's report, she died of smoke inhalation combined with methamphetamine intoxication and cardiopulmonary disease. She was sixty-five years old. Those people in Bakersfield who did not know her in Salinas, California would never have guessed the person she was back then, but many of us know. We had all hoped she would eventually pull out of the lurch she was in, but none of us are in a position to know what we would have done nor how we would have reacted to the shock she experienced that fateful night.

The only thing I know for sure is, every single thing that happened to her after that night falls squarely on the shoulders of her former (scumbag) husband, Charles Greco, son of Art Greco of Greco Construction on River Road in Salinas. My only hope now is that he will suffer for all eternity for what he turned her into through his evil behaviors. No amount of pain he could ever endure could ever compare to the destruction he caused. May he receive the justice he so richly deserves, and may he never receive mercy for what he has done.

And may Darcus Ann Greco rest in the peace she has sought for the past twenty years.

The Ramifications of the #Coronavirus Hysteria

While everyone is hunkering down to do their "civic duty" by staying home, allowing their businesses to be shut down by the G.O.V..E.R.N.M.E.N.T, I realize no one is thinking.

Consider this:

How many stories have we heard about some crazed nut deciding to kill his wife and children and then eat a bullet himself because he got fired from a job?

EXPECT THAT IN SPADES.

How long before all of these "patriots" get sick of doing without and start LOOTING?

How long before people get fed up all together and begin RIOTING?

Those of you who have been "predicting" martial law for a DECADE NOW will finally get your wish.

But, it's all in the spirit of being a good American, right?

As of this moment, there are currently 129,589 cases of Covid-19 worldwide. There have been 4,749 deaths to date. Simple, elementary school math tells us this is a mortality rate of .037 (3.7%).

Trying to Improve my Situation

As you will see in the description below, I am really needing to move out of the apartment I moved into a year-and-a-half ago. At the time, it was a blessing for which I was very thankful. I am still grateful that I have had a roof over my head. But, I had no way of knowing what the management company was like nor did I realize they were going to go through managers like crazy. Our SIXTH manager just quit, and we are moving on to number seven. 

My regular readers will recall the problems I had in late 2018 because they went two months without a manager. This apartment complex is very small. There is no real parking lot, just an area in front of the office with about ten parking spaces. In order to enter, you must go through a LOCKED security gate. At that time, our mail was given to the office which then sorted the mail and put it in wooden cubicles with our apartment numbers on them. If no one was in the office, no one got any mail.

Since then, they put in actual mailboxes...INSIDE THE LOCKED GATE. So, when no one is in the office, we STILL cannot get our mail because the Postal Service does not have a key to get in. Neither does UPS, nor FedEx, etc. (Please check my previous posts for more information about the problems tenants have had.) 

The situation is untenable. The good news is, I found a place right across the street that would be a perfect place to move. The bad news is, with my fixed income I will not be able to move any time soon and will be forced to renew my lease unless something happens to change my financial situation.
